Guitar Player / Educator / Composer
Xabier “Xabi” Oró is a musician and music educator from Barcelona, Spain. After studying at l’AULA de Música Moderna i Jazz del Conservatori del Liceu, he was granted a scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston where he graduated summa cum laude in Guitar Performance. Upon returning to Barcelona, he earned a Master’s degree in Jazz Guitar Performance at Catalonia College of Music.
Through the years, Xabi has been mentored by internationally acclaimed musicians such as Tim Miller, Mick Goodrick, David Fiucynsky, David Gilmore, Ed Tomassi, Dave Santoro, Bret Wilmott, Dani Pérez, and Rick Dimuzio. He has also collaborated with artists across a wide range of genres, showcasing his unique blend of blues and rock with jazz harmony and improvisation.
